The CNRS launched last summer a new version of its website for the general public and of course for the world of education. This is a real success story.
With CNRS Le Journal, the national centre for scientific research reconnects with one of its main missions: the dissemination of knowledge. The result is great both in terms of atmosphere and general tone, as well as ergonomics and, most importantly, the editorial content on offer.
Teachers, students, researchers, ordinary citizens will find something to sharpen their curiosity, enrich their knowledge and why not arouse vocations. An open and free site whose content can be shared on social networks. Careful writing with a style adapted to all audiences and multimedia content of all kinds make CNRS Le Journal a true media in its own right.
Images have a place of choice on this online media and iconographic choices are neat. The contents are organized in 6 themes (living, matter, society, universe, earth, digital). New in this new version of the CNRS media, the possibility of creating your own personalized section. This requires opening an account on the site. You will then have an additional section grouping your favorite themes.
On the front page right now an article about Sophie Germain, a portrait of Jean Pruvost a lover of dictionaries or an astonishing video on the Pont d’Avignon which shows us what the famous work looked like in the Middle Ages.
It's all happiness. CNRS The Journal is to read and advise your students. A real nice surprise.
