DocentEdu is a small magical extension, which once installed on your browser, will turn any web page into an interactive lesson.

An "excellent" idea and a very beautiful achievement that requires almost no learning. DocentEdu has the power to turn a webpage of your choice into a lesson or assignment in minutes. This lightweight tool allows questions, discussions, videos and multimedia enrichments to be inserted into a web page in just a few clicks.

DocentEcu offers, after registering as a teacher, an extension to install on your Chrome or Firefox browser.

When you are on a web page that you want to use as a basis for a course, simply click on the extension icon to see a ready-to-use toolbar on the left side of the screen. You can click on the text insert a question that your students will be asked to answer when they visit the page. You can also invite and start a discussion from any excerpt in the document. A discussion in the form of comments that will be updated in real time.

The third option of particular interest in DocentEdu is the possibility ofenrich the webpage with a multimedia add-on. In the same way that you have inserted a question, you can make a video appear in the text by simply copying the URL of YouTube for example.

Under its apparent simplicity DocentEdu hides a powerful device to offer your students online resources and validate their understanding. When creating your account, you will need to create one or more classes. Each of them will have a specific code that will allow your students to register and be included in it. So when you create an interactive lesson with DocentEdu you can assign it with a single click to an entire class. The tool also allows you to set up a grading system so that you can collect your students’ results effortlessly. DocentEdu integrates with a few LMSs known as Google Classroom or Edmodo. It also juggles with ease with Google Apps.

If you do not want to use all its features, you can also share only the URL of your course page. The only constraint for DocentEdu to work, but it is not negligible, the extension must also be installed on the student’s computer.

However, the potential of this small utility is enormous. It's up to you. DocentEdu therefore offers one extension for Chrome and another for Firefox.  There is also a mobile version for iOS and Android.

The free version of DocentEdu allows you to create three interactive web pages, for around EUR 4 per month, you will be able to use the tool without any limits.
