We are fortunate to have high quality youth newspapers and magazines in France. This difficult time is a great opportunity to discover them. Detailed review of free youth press titles during the lockdown period.

Many thanks to the publisher Milan Presse for publishing all its children’s magazines free of charge for the duration of the lockdown. The opportunity to discover high-quality titles from the youth magazine press.
Two possible entries: Magazines for the little ones 3 to 7 years in bulk, Picoti, Stories for the little ones, Toupie, Wakou, I learn to read and Tobogan.
Magazines for 8 to 12 year olds. Manon, Wapiti, Julie, Curionautes, Geo Ado.
The Children's Journal

The JDE is one of the forerunners of the children’s press in France and targets the 9-14 age group in particular. Published every Thursday with high-quality journalistic content that makes it possible to decipher all the major current topics. For the duration of the lockdown, reading the JDE online is free, as well as all the articles on the associated site.

Milan Presse Group magazine, 1jour1actu explains adult news to children in simple words. The result is of high quality, the site associated with the newspaper is also remarkable. All issues for the month of March are available free of charge. Hopefully, the publisher will prolong the operation for the duration of the lockdown.
Note that other youth magazines in Milan offer you to browse the latest issue online.

PlayBac Press

Another major player in the youth press, PlayBac Presse offers three reference titles per age group. Le Petit Quotidien for 6-10 year olds, Mon Quotidien for 10-13 year olds, Actu for 13-18 year olds. Daily newspapers for young people that give the good habit of reading 10 minutes a day. The newspaper arrives in the mailbox from Monday to Saturday. Playbac offers free access to PDF editions to newspapers for 15 days. Go to the Playbac website, create an account, create the child’s profile (do not fill in the subscriber number field), finally enter the corresponding promo code in the child’s profile:

Le P’tit Libé

The news of the greats explained to children by the writing of the daily newspaper Libération. P’tit Libé offers its latest issue on the Koranovirus and the latest information on the subject. It is arguably the most comprehensive resource for children on the disease to date. Remarkable work. Little more original the possibility for children to ask questions to journalists by email.

Bayam

Bayard Presse has decided to offer access to its Bayam multimedia application. This is excellent news. Bayam is a real success and offers hundreds of digital content for children. Stories, audiobooks, games, documentaries, manual activities …All the Bayard Group's expertise in educational content. Bayam offers specific access for ages 3-6 or 7-10. Bayam consults online or through an application to be downloaded from its computer.
