Animated Drawings is an experimental service which makes it possible toanimate the children's drawings in a few clicks through artificial intelligence. The results are amazing and nice. This free service will give life on the screen to the boys designed by the little ones. They will be able to see them walking, running, jumping, shaking … in short they should love it.
Animate children’s drawings in just a few clicks
Children’s drawings have a tremendous inventiveness and variety. The characters created by the little ones are incredibly diverse. Animated Drawings is working to develop an algorithm to bring them to life through automatic animations. The still images will thus come alive before their eyes. Surprise guaranteed.
While the algorithms that make this possible are highly complex, the use of the service is excessively simple for any adult.
No need to register to use Animated Drawings. Here is a quick instruction manual:
- First of all, the ‘young artist’ must be asked to draw a character with arms and legs on a white sheet of paper. The design must have only one character and care must be taken to ensure that the arms and legs do not overlap the body.
- Take a picture with your smartphone for example and send yourself there by email. Once you have recovered the image file upload it to Animated Drawings.
- Your image will appear on the screen. A frame is created automatically around the character. If the framing is not perfect, you can improve it on the screen. The tool then separates the character from the background and draws the points of articulation. Here again you can step in to fine-tune automatic recognition.
One more click and the magic happens. Your character comes to life.
Around 30 animations available
Once your character has been digitised from the child’s drawing, the service offers no less than 30 possible animations of the drawing. The "boy" will walk, run, jump, greet, hide and even dance. A cross at the bottom of the animation allows you to display it in full screen.
By displaying the animation in full screen on your computer, you can easily download it as a small video file. You also have the possibility to share children's creations directly by email or on social networks.
