Vocalmatic

If you have ever had to record a conference, speech or interview, you know how painful and time-consuming it can be. Vocalmatic offers an ideal and perfectly functional solution without any real flaws.

If you want to avoid wasting your time listening to an extract of the sound you want to transcribe, switch to your word processor, go back to recording, switch back to your word processor, don't forget to save …, try Vocalmatic.

This brand new platform uses artificial intelligence to perform transcriptions automatically in just a few minutes. The result is quite bluffing.

The use is simple. After a quick registration on the site you will be able to upload your audio file. VocalMatic supports most audio formats: mp3, m4a, mp4, flac, ogg, wav… You must then specify the language used in your Audio file. VocalMatic includes more than 100 different languages. All that remains is to start the translation.

VocalMatic's servers are particularly fast. The time required for translation depends on the duration of the registration. It is often equivalent. But you can do something else in the meantime. VocalMatic will send you an email when your text is ready. This will be displayed in a built-in editor that will allow you toThen edit the obtained text and fine-tune it by removing the inevitable shells if necessary. The editor provides the source audio clips next to the text in case you need to listen to the original sound again. Once your text has been cleaned, you will be able to download it in Word format. Magical.

Vocalmatic

I tested Vocalmatic with a recording of a short story from Maupassant. The result is of excellent quality.

You can try Vocalmatic for free. The service offers you 30 minutes of free transcripts. Then it will be necessary to move to a paid plan and not necessarily cheap. You can either buy minutes (about €10 for 60 minutes) or take a monthly subscription if you have recurring needs.

  1. 10 euros for 60 minutes is much cheaper than on professional transcription sites (the cheapest I found is 1$ per minute of audio) or even Fiverr or you can do 1 hour of audio for 30 to 50 dollars. And in addition it is necessary to wait between 24h and a week to have the transcription. Thank you for sharing, I will try this site, if the quality is good I will subscribe!

Thank you for this article. The platform looks efficient, but unfortunately automatic transcription often requires a lot of corrections if the audio recording does not have perfect quality at its core.
