Playful, artistic, interactive, motivating …Proposing these students to express themselves through the creation of a comic book makes it possible to use a good way to obtain investment and dynamism in a class group. My recent post on Pixton I have received a voluminous letter for which I thank you.
Your interest prompted me to look for others online solutions to easily create comics. I took 3 of them. Three tools tice which have several points in common. They are free, easy to tame and produce results that your students can be proud of.
Chogger. This extremely simple tool makes it possible to create comic books, even small photo novels. It allows you to draw your own images and characters or import them from your computer. You can also import images and even connect your webcam to be part of the story. All you have to do is add legends and bubbles to your thumbnails. Link: Chogger.
ComicMaster. Your students will love this tool that will dive into the world of comics and superheroes. A neat and modern interface. Here too, the interface and ergonomics work wonders. One chooses the style of thumbnails of his page. one then chooses in a library of characters. They are decked out with bubbles and legends and all that is left to do is print. Everything is in drag and drop, fluid, colorful. The printed result is of very good quality. Link: ComicMaster.
MakeBeliefs. It is a tool that takes up the idea of comic strips that we used to find in our newspapers. A story told in a horizontal strip of three or four thumbnails. Perfect for forcing young creators to work on a concise and precise scenario. The creation is quite simple, the site offers characters that you will have to slip into the thumbnails to build your little stories. Link: MakeBeliefs.
In the classroom.
Here are some online tools that deserve a little test. Their ease of handling and the fact that they are online make them interesting tools to develop your students’ creativity and sense of storytelling. Meanwhile the teacher may well develop something else …sa popularity.
