Timetoast. Create a timeline easily

Timetoast is an excellent tool for create a timeline (or chronological frieze) simply. Alone or with others, this platform offers a good way to learn about the visual storytelling of a phenomenon or story across a timeline.

Create a timeline within everyone's reach

The great strength of Timetoast is its ease of use. The tool can thus be placed in the hands of a group of students who will be able to tame it without great difficulty.

Timeline offers two types of display. You can offer your timeline in horizontal mode or list mode. TimeToast creates a time scale on which you will be able to place events that will appear via bubbles with texts and photos. A zoom system allows you to contract or dilate time. The time period is configurable to your needs and can range from a few days to several centuries. You can add events or multiple date ranges. Each point in your timeline can be illustrated with an image and completed with links opening to web pages or videos.

Everything is done intuitively, the preview is immediate and a draft mode allows you to work without fear of being wrong.

Create a multi-timeline

This is another of the strengths of the platform. Timetoast allows you to work together on the same frieze. Ideal for working in groups. You can add new users to your account without the need for an email address. Registration can be done via a simple shared code.
User administration is easy. You manage the users you create and can decide with a click if they can publish friezes.

Collaborative Timeline

Timetoast ultimately offers options to share your timelines in different ways. You can embed your timeline on your own website and change its colors to fit perfectly into your graphic line. You can spread it by email or on social networks. Timetoast also allows you to generate a PDF file that you can share or print.

Your friezes are public or private. On the website you will find hundreds of examples freely shared by other users of the platform.

Timetoast offers a free version with limited functions. To take advantage of all the features, you will need to upgrade to a paid subscription of around EUR 5 per month. Paid subscriptions start with a 30-day free trial offer.
