Digital is a toolkit and digital applications designed for teaching that have the particularity of being free and ‘responsible’. Let's get back to it. Do not hesitate for a second. this site is to be stored in your digital kit. He's great. Both in its approach and in the set of ultra-practical tools it offers.

Of free resources and practices particularly welcome in this period of school closure, but not only. Especially since the kit continues to be regularly filled with new tools.

Free digital tools for all teachers

Digital is a kind of digital toolkit containing 24 tools and services that will be useful for you to support theteaching andlearning both in the presence and at a distance.

Each of them deserves an article in its own right. They are all easy to use. You can choose between two buttons: discover or launch. Discover offers a comprehensive presentation of the tool. Clicking on the launch button allows you to launch the application.

There are too many of them to review here. I'll let you find them out. For my part, I particularly appreciated:

• Digiscreen. It is an interactive wallpaper for the classroom in presence or remotely. This module alone is worth a visit.

• Digipad. A must to create pads or multimedia collaborative walls for the class.
• Digistorm. An online application that allows him to very simply create surveys or brainstorms with your students.

• Digiplay. An interface to watch any video YouTube without ads or distractions of any kind, safely.

Digital also offers three software downloads for Windows, Mac and Linux.

The latest tools for teachers offered by digital technology. March 2023 update

The toolkit for teachers offered by Digitale continues to fill up month after month. Let's take advantage of this update to tell you a few that are very convenient. Practice e.g. Digicalc which makes it possible to create collaborative spreadsheets for use with your students or colleagues. Based on the free software EtherCalc already used by our friends of Framasoft, Digicalc allows you to create spreadsheets with a single click without even having to register. Remember to note the URL, it is the only way to find access to your document. The sheet can be exported in different formats including the classic Excel.

The following have also joined the La Digitale kit:

• DigimindMap for create heuristic maps simple.
• Digiboard to work with collaborative whiteboards.
• Digicode to manufacture QR codes and Digiface to make avatars

The newest addition to this impressive Swiss knife is called Digisteps. It is a more ambitious tool as it aims to facilitate the creation of online learning pathways. Simple and practical, like all the educational tools offered by La Digitale. Digisteps will allow you to put together pedagogical sequences in a single page to form a course. It is up to you to articulate, course sessions, documents and media, activities and evaluations. These are unique routes for everyone but you will be able to hide and make available the different modules as you progress along the route.

New update with the expected arrival of Digidrive in March 2023.
Digidrive is a central dashboard which makes it possible to manage and organise all the tools and creations made with one or other of La Digitale’s tools.

Tools for free education and …responsible

The creator of the La Digitale website intends to use all these resources to raise awareness of the use of responsible digital educational tools. He explained why: in an article on his blog by attempting a fairly comprehensive definition of what it means by a responsible tool. We are not very far from the approach of Framasoft that we have already talked about here.

We can only support the approach. In the meantime and to summarize, all the tools present in digital are free, without advertising, collecting no data and putting pedagogical relevance at the center of their design. Excuse me very little. Fully successful bet.

Digital is a precious pearl that needs to be cultivated and protected. A public utility site.

The economic model is very clear. The tools are made available free of charge and without clamping.

Development and hosting costs are covered by a system of crowdfunding.
